Lake Tahoe Family Vacation ~ Lakeland Village Children's Program

We are currently open for the 2010 summer season.
- All of our Children's activities are complimentary.
- Children participating in the activities must be at least 4 years old and potty-trained.
- All activities meet at the beach house at specific times (call for details).
- All activities are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- We adhere to a 5:1 child to counselor ratio.

Children's Activities Schedule (subject to change)

SUNDAY 9 AM ~ Noon:
- Join us in the morning for "Create your own Storybook" on the beach. Kids will make a "My Tahoe Storybook" about their adventures in Tahoe, whether they are still to come or just ending.
- Mid morning, everyone takes a Nature Walk and find items for their Pet Rock Craft.
- Lastly, we have a snack and drink.
1PM ~ 4PM:
- Join us for poolside fun! We play in the lakeside pool to start things off.
- Mid morning, we host our "Kids Cooking Class" when we make Ice Cream from scratch!
- We finish off the day with Yard Games, Bocce Ball and Hula Hoops.

MONDAY - Closed
No activities today.

TUESDAY9 AM ~ Noon
- Join us on the beach for fun in the Sun! We start off the day with Beach Play, and Sand Castles.
- Mid morning, we play Wii sports games.
- Lastly, we have a snack and drink, and then a "Make Your Own Play Dough"¯ project. Kids can take their Play Dough home with them.
1 PM ~ 4 PM
- Join us for poolside fun! We start off the day with Pool Play at our terrific lakeside pool area.
- Mid morning, we host our "Kids Cooking Class" where we make our famous secret recipe "Cup 'O Dirt". Yum!
- We finish off the day with Yard Games, Bocce Ball and Hula Hoops.

WEDNESDAY9 AM ~ Noon :
- Today we leave Lakeland Village to embark on a fabulous "Learning Adventure"¯! Our field trip takes us to Fallen Leaf Lake aboard the Lakeland Village shuttle where everyone participates in a Nature Scavenger Hunt.
- Mid morning, we head over to the Camp Richardson Ice Cream Shoppe for a frozen treat.
- If time permits, we stroll through the historic Tallac gardens.
1PM ~ 4PM :
- Today we make Tye Dye shirts. Kids are welcome to bring additional items to Tye Dye if they like.
- Mid morning, we have a snack and then we break out the Slip 'N Slide™!
- We finish off the day with Pool play at our lakeside pool area.

THURSDAY - WILDLIFE DAY! 9 AM ~ Noon:
- Today is WILDLIFE DAY, where it is all about animals!
- Today we go on one of the following two field trips:
1. Our "In the Meadow" Trip starts with animal costume dress up and then departs Lakeland headed for the historic Valhalla site. Once there we will meet a local author who will teach us about Tahoe's wildlife with stories and sing-a-longs.
OR...
2. Our "Wildlife Uncovered" Trip takes us to the Explore Tahoe site located in the Heavenly Village. Once there kids will meet local Park's and Recreation hosts, who will teach them about Tahoe's Wildlife. This is a hands on trip which includes touching real animal pelts and skulls.
1PM- 4 PM KIDS CAMP
- Today is WILDLIFE DAY, where it is all about animals!
- For the second part of the day we will do one of the two following things:
1. Animal Safari - Dress up like an animal! Face painting, and a fun mountain style safari with prizes are included
OR...
2. Our "Wildlife Uncovered" Trip takes us to the Explore Tahoe site located in the Heavenly Village. Once there kids will meet local Park's and Recreation hosts, who will teach them about Tahoe's Wildlife. This is a hands-on trip, which includes touching real animal pelts and skulls. Ā

FRIDAY - PIONEER DAYS!9 AM ~ Noon:
- Today is Pioneer Days!
- On this morning we do one of the following activities:
1. We start the morning on the Beach with Sand Castles, and assorted Beach Toys. Then Mid morning, we do Shrinky Dink art, and have a snack. We end the morning with Pool Play at our Lakeside Pool.
OR...
2. PIONEER DAYS! For this activity, everyone dresses up in Pioneer days costumes. From there activities vary and can include and of the following: Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest, Bubble Gum Blowing Contest, Make your own Cornbread and Butter, Rattlesnake Eggs, Gold Panning etc...
1PM ~ 4PM:
1. PIONEER DAYS! For this activity, everyone dresses up in Pioneer days costumes. From there activities vary and can include and of the following: Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest, Bubble Gum Blowing Contest, Make your own Cornbread and Butter, Rattlesnake Eggs, Gold Panning etc...
OR...
2. Library Field Trip - Entertainers to be announced. For this field trip we all hop in the Lakeland Village shuttle and head to the local library. Once there we will be entertained by local performers including, The Bubble Lady, Magicians, Mad Science Guy, Singers and Storytellers.

SATURDAY - PIRATE DAY!9 AM ~ Noon:
- Today's field trip takes everyone to the Taylor Creek Stream Profile Chamber! The adventure starts on the Rainbow Walk, which is a half-mile nature trail through a meadow and aspen grove. Along the Rainbow Walk you enter the Stream Profile Chamber which gives an underwater view of Taylor Creek and a chance to see Tahoe's native fish up close! Afterwards we have a snack, and then head back to Lakeland Village.
1PM ~ 4PM:
- Calling all Tahoe Pirates! This fun filled afternoon begins with a pirate costume dress up, and pirate hat making. Kids can take home their own hat at the end of the day. Then we head out with treasure maps in hand for the big Treasure Hunt. Every kid will get a piece of the booty to take home.
- We finish the day with Walk the Plank pool play and a Pirate-tastic snack.
